Life transformed
Elderly suffer mental health
Research shows a quarter of over 65's seek mental health counselling after experiencing changes in their lives. A breakdown in a marriage for instance can have detrimental effect on over 65's even though they don't immediately feel the depressed state of mind.

Over 65's and mental health
Having prescribed antidepressants by a GP which can have little effect, counselling therapy can be the most satisfactory route to take in getting through the depression. You are able to self-reflect and walk away and are able to think you are in a better place with your new environment and begin to see chinks of light. Stress in old age can be difficult to experience with the anxiety and a feeling of self-worth. Stubborn attitude can be the reason many don't approach a counsellor but this is the first step to a better life.
